Before you start configuring this integration, ensure you meet the following prerequisites:

Supported hardware:

  • KMES Series 3, version 6.3.5.1 and later, with the KMIP license enabled

Supported operating systems:

  • Microsoft Windows: MySQL Enterprise Edition is compatible with several versions of Windows, including Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows 10 Professional and Enterprise editions.
  • Linux: MySQL is compatible with several popular enterprise-focused Linux distributions. These include Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and CentOS.
  • Oracle Solaris: MySQL supports Solaris 10 and 11, Oracle's Unix-based operating system.
  • macOS: MySQL supports macOS for development purposes, but it's typically not used for production environments on this platform.
  • FreeBSD: MySQL is compatible with this free and open-source Unix-like operating system, though it's not as commonly used for enterprise database deployments as Linux or Windows.
  • IBM AIX: MySQL supports the IBM proprietary Unix operating system, AIX, though this tends to be less common than Linux or Windows deployments.
