Before beginning, ensure your environment conforms to the following specifications:

Windows 7 and later  
Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, and Red Hat-based distributions) 
Other: 
Oracle Java 11, 17, or 21
OpenSSL
To ensure proper compatibility between Java SunPKCS11 and the  PKCS11 module, you must use Oracle Java instead of OpenJDK. We support Oracle Java 11, 17, and 21.
