Next, you must download the client certificates by using CryptoVerse. CryptoVerse is the certificate authority (CA) under which we sign all VirtuCrypt certificates. CryptoVerse also issues the certificates used to validate organizations and users. You can either generate a PKI or upload your own CA and certificates. We recommend generating a PKI.
1
Return to the main services page. Select the CryptoVerse service so that it is outlined in red and select [ Manage ] in the upper-right corner.
2
To generate the PKI, perform the following steps:
  1. Select the CryptoVerse folder and select Generate PKI from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter a name and password. After the PKI creation completes, a sub-folder appears with the newly created PKI.
  3. Select [ Download Certificate ] to download the certificates and save them to your device. All client applications connecting to the VirtuCrypt service need to use these certificates.
3
Alternatively, to upload your own CA, perform the following steps:
  1. Under External CAs, select [ Upload External CA ].
  2. Name your external CA with no spaces or special characters.
  3. Browse to the location of the .pem file with your certificates and select [ Open ].
  4. Select [ Upload ].
  5. The certificates are now available, but the CryptoTunnel endpoints consider them untrusted, so go back to the main services page and select the CryptoTunnel for your region (or create a new one).
  6. Select [ Modify ].
  7. In the CryptoVerse section under Select CryptoVerse, select the .pem file you just uploaded.
    • The CryptoTunnel now trusts those certificates.
  8. Select [ OK ].
