What is a VAP?

A VAP is a VirtuCrypt-owned virtual private cloud. Virtual private clouds provide a logically separated section of the public cloud, where an organization, in this case VirtuCrypt, defines its own virtual network. The VAP allows secure access to VirtuCrypt from a public cloud without directly traversing the internet. It also supports various access methods, including connections between different public cloud provider regions (such as USA/Canada, Europe, or Latin America), access from on-premises applications through a VPN, or hybrid environments. VAPs enable you to connect to the service through this private connection.
