Explains stale connection behavior in AWS and recommends keepalive configuration to maintain connectivity.
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) load balancers close stale connections if they are unused for more than three minutes. When this happens, you might experience connectivity issues if no traffic is actively sent through the VAP. To prevent connections from becoming stale and losing connectivity to your cloud HSMs, configure the application to send a keepalive message to the cloud HSMs at least every two minutes. This ensures that connections are not marked as idle and closed out.
