Generic OpenSSL Provider architecture use cases require asymmetric keys with multiple usages (Encrypt/Decrypt and Sign/Verify), which can be configured but are not enabled on the KMES Series 3 by default. To enable EDSV:

Click on Configuration on the left-hand side menu.

Under the Configuration menu, click on the Options.

Check the box Allow SignVer+EncDec asymmetric key usages.

Click on [ Save ].
