This guide explains how to connect an application to an Excrypt HSM (formerly Vectera Plus) through the Futurex PKCS #11 library (FXPKCS11). Use it for any application that supports PKCS #11 and doesn’t have its own Futurex integration guide. You complete the following tasks:
  1. Check the prerequisites.
  2. Install the client software on the computer that runs the application and on the workstation that you use to configure the HSM:
  3. Configure the HSM: load major keys, create an application partition and identity for the application, and configure TLS.
  4. Edit the Futurex PKCS #11 configuration file and verify the connection.
