# Before you start

> Verify your environment meets the requirements for integrating Ascertia ADSS Server with a Futurex Vectera Plus HSM.

*Verify your environment meets these requirements before proceeding.*

## Supported hardware

* Vectera Plus `7.2.x.x` or later

## Supported operating systems

* Linux
* Windows

## Required access

* Administrator access to the Vectera Plus (physical or remote via Excrypt Manager/FXCLI)
* Administrator access to the Ascertia ADSS Admin Console
* Root or sudo access on the ADSS Server host machine

## Network and firewall

* Outbound TCP port **9100** from the ADSS Server host to the Vectera Plus
* The Vectera Plus must be reachable by IP address from the ADSS Server host

<Warning>
  If your network uses TLS inspection or an SSL proxy, exempt traffic between the ADSS Server host and the Vectera Plus. TLS inspection interferes with mutual TLS authentication and causes connection failures.

## Software requirements

* Ascertia ADSS Server **8.3.x** or later, installed and operational
* PostgreSQL (or another supported database) configured for ADSS Server
* The ADSS Signing Service must be deployed and accessible (default port: 8777)
