# Microsoft Windows Certificate Store

This document provides information about configuring the Futurex Vectera Plus HSM with a Windows Certificate Store by using the Futurex **CNG** cryptographic library. For additional questions related to your HSM, see the relevant user guide.

## About Windows Certificate Stores

From the Microsoft documentation website: On a computer that has the Windows operating system installed, the operating system stores a certificate locally on the computer in a storage location called the certificate store. A certificate store often has numerous certificates, possibly issued from a number of different certification authorities (CAs).
