# Configure KMIP in TrueNAS

> Procedural instructions to configure KMIP settings in TrueNAS for integration with CryptoHub.

Perform the following steps to configure KMIP in TrueNAS:

    Log in to the TrueNAS web interface.

    Go to **System** > **KMIP** to complete the configuration.
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Enter the CryptoHub hostname or IP address and the default KMIP connection port, 5696 (refer to `info.txt` for this information). Select the **Certificate** and **Certificate Authority** imported in the previous section. To confirm that the certificates are configured properly, select the **Validate Connection** checkbox and select **\[ Save ]**.

  <Step>
    After the certificate chain is verified successfully, choose the encryption values, SED passwords, or ZFS data pool encryption keys to move to the CryptoHub by using KMIP. Set **Enabled** to begin the transfer process immediately after selecting **\[ Save ]**.

    Refreshing the KMIP page shows the current KMIP Key Status.

    To cancel a pending key synchronization, set **Force Clear** and select **\[ Save ]**.
