# Deploy client endpoint

> Create a UserPass endpoint and download the CryptoHub Client Library unit for strongSwan.

Create a fresh Linux endpoint for the strongSwan responder.

<Warning>
  The endpoint download contains live credentials and TLS material. Store it as a secret and transfer it to the responder over an encrypted channel.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add the endpoint">
    Open the deployed strongSwan service and select **Endpoints**.

    Select **Add New**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure the endpoint">
    Enter a descriptive endpoint name.

    Keep the generated CryptoHub hostname.

    Select the Linux OpenSSL 3.x platform.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Download the endpoint">
    Select **Add Endpoint** and save the downloaded ZIP file.
  </Step>

<Check>
  The ZIP file contains the endpoint configuration, `libcryptohub-pkcs11.so`, `pkcs11-manager`, `client.p12`, and the referenced CA files. The Linux endpoint does not require a separate FxChlibs package.
</Check>

Do not require `fxchl`, `config-translator`, or `unit-tests`. These tools were not present in the validated endpoint bundle.
